Timeline Transit Magic Load Protocol (1496 DR)

Issued from The Line Jacks Central Dispatch Hall, Arnrock Island

When jumping timelines, all personnel must adhere to Arcane-Power Load Limits to prevent planar overpressure, weave distortion, and timeline recoil.

Arcane-Power (AP) is the measured metaphysical weight of magic carried across a boundary.

Tier Capacity

  • Tier 1 (Levels 1-4): 6 AP

  • Tier 2 (Levels 5-8): 11 AP

  • Tier 3 (Levels 9-12): 18 AP

  • Tier 4 (Levels 13-16): 28 AP

  • Tier 5 (Levels 17-20): 40 AP

Casting Signature Tax Per Tier

  • Full Caster: 1 / 3 / 7 / 13 / 20 AP

  • Half Caster: 1 / 2 / 4 / 7 / 10 AP

  • Third Caster: 1 / 1 / 2 / 3 / 5 AP

  • Non-Casters: 0 AP

Magic Rarity Weighting

  • Common: 1 AP

  • Uncommon: 2 AP

  • Rare: 4 AP

  • Very Rare: 6 AP

  • Legendary: 8 AP

  • Artifacts: 10-14 AP by Logistics Officer ruling

Common Field Clarifications

  • Multiclass: use the highest bracket you qualify for, do NOT stack.

  • Magic Initiate / Fey Touched type feats: +1 AP if they grant slots.

  • Cantrip-only feats: 0 AP.

  • Potions/Scrolls count as half AP of permanents of the same level.

  • Warlocks count as half casters.

  • Artificer Infusions are part of their casting tax. While they do contribute to their total AP Load, their AP Load Limit is also increased by that same amount, allowing them to gift Infusions to others without penalising them.

  • Any permanent items that Artificers create do NOT count as their normal Infusions and do contribute to their AP Load.

Failure to adhere to load limits risks breach cascade, timeline blowback, or timeline feed inversion.
